Soften the wax: Put the wax sheets in a water bath at 55°C for 4–5 minutes. Wrap the sheets in non-adhesive silicone paper so they are easy to remove.
Load the wax: Put the softened wax into the bite registration tray. Make sure the tray fits the patient’s arch.
Record the bite: Put the tray in the patient’s mouth and have them gently bite down.
Remove the tray: Carefully take the tray out of the patient’s mouth. The wax will set at room temperature (around 27°C) and maintain the bite registration.
Check and adjust: Use the wax to check and adjust the occlusal records.
Clean and store: Clean the wax and store it in a cool, dry place between 10°C to 40°C. It can last up to 60 months if stored properly.
