PrimeCem Type 2 is a restorative radiopaque glass ionomer cement powder and liquid.
INDICATIONS:
Restorations of Class III and Class V cavities.
Restoration of deciduous teeth and cavity lining
Non-load bearing Class I restoration in permanent teeth.
Contraindications:
1. Do not use this product on patients with known allergies to this material and/or glass polyalkenoate.
2. In case of inflammation or allergic reactions in either patient or operator, immediately discontinue use and seek medical advice.
3. Use protective gloves and glasses to avoid sensitization to this product.
4. In case of contact with eyes, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
5. Do not use this product for any purposes other than specifically outlined in these instructions for use.
6. This product is intended for use by dental professionals only.

Mixing:
Divide powder into 2 equal portions; mix the first portion with the dispensed liquid for 10 seconds. Then add the second portion and mix for 20 seconds. until it becomes homogeneous paste. It is recommended to use plastic spatula and not metal spatula, the other end of scoop provided is designed such that it can be used as a spatula.
Expected Timings:
25C [higher temperature would reduce timings]
Mixing time 30 seconds
Working time 1 Minute 50 seconds from the start of mixing
Initial Set (Intra Oral) 5 minutes from the start of mixing.
Filling:
Clean tooth surface with pumice paste and wash with water. Dry tooth surface avoid desiccate surface. Isolate tooth to be filled, contamination of saliva or other liquid or phosphoric acid containing agents will drastically effect retention and bonding of filling material. In the case of pulp exposure or deep cavities with close proximity to pulp, cap the pulp with calcium hydroxide or similar material as per recommendation of manufacturer. When the cement mixture loses shine, apply cocoa butter or petroleum jelly to the restoration. When using matrix strip apply the same before placement of strip. Perform contouring and polishing under running water after 6 minutes from the start of mixing cement. Airdry cement surface immediately after polishing, then reapply cocoa butter.
STORAGE:
Store at temperature of 25 C. (Shelf life: 3 years) protect from moisture and sunlight.
SHADE:
Similar to Shade A2 or A3

1 15g powder,
1 10ml liquid,
1 powder scoop,
1 Mixing Pad.

Dispensing of powder and liquid:
Dispense one level scoop of powder onto a mixing pad with the measuring scoop provided. Then dispense one drop of liquid separately. Improper proportionate will adversely affect performance of filling material.
Gently shake the powder bottle to loosen the powder before dispensing. Always use the measuring scoop provided and level off the powder for accurate dosage.
Invert the liquid bottle prior to use to dispense drops of bubble free.
Suggestion:
Wipe off left over liquid around nozzle, always close caps of powder and liquid bottles tightly immediately after dispensing. Never mix component from different batch or different make.
