Prime Cem Type I is a radiopaque, self-curing, glass-ionomer luting material with excellent adhesion and good flowability, It is useful for a wide range of clinical applications. It is available as a powder and liquid pack.

INDICATIONS:
1. Luiting of metal or porcelain fused to metal crowns, bridges, and inlays.
2. Luiting of stainless steel crowns.
3. Cementation of orthodontic bands.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
1. Pulp capping.
2. In rare cases the product may cause sensitivity to some persons. If such reactions are experienced, discontinue the use of the product and refer to a physician.
DISPENSING:
a) The standard powder-to-liquid ratio is 1 level scoop of powder to 2 drops of liquid. Use the scoop provided in Prime Cem Type 1 packs only, do not use other scoop.
b)Shake the bottle and tap the bottle on hand before dispensing.
c) Hold the liquid bottle vertically and squeeze gently.
d) Close bottles immediately after use.
STORAGE:
Store at a temperature of 25 C. (Shelf life: 3 years) and protect from moisture and sunlight.

1 15g powder,
1 10ml liquid,
1 powder scoop,
1 Mixing Pad.

1. MIXING
Dispense powder and liquid onto the pad. Using a plastic spatula [you can use the other end of a scoop for mixing], add all the powder in two equal parts to the liquid. Mix rapidly for 20 seconds.
Note: Divide the powder into two equal parts. Mix the first portion with all of the liquid for 5 seconds. Incorporate the remaining portion and mix the whole thoroughly for 15 seconds (total 20 seconds).
2. CEMENTATION:
Clean the tooth surface with pumice paste and water with water. A dry tooth surface avoids desiccating surface. Clean the inside surface of the crown/bands, once the tooth surface and crown/band are ready, mix cement, coat the internal surface of the crown/band with the required cement, and place in position within 30 seconds of the end of mixing time. Temperature will affect working time, higher temperature would shorten working times. Remove excess cement at the first formation of the gel stage.
3. Expected Timings: 25 C [higher temperature would reduce timings)
Mixing: 25 sec
Working Time: 1 Min 30 sec
Initial Set (intra-oral) 6 min from the start of mixing.
CAUTION: 
1. In case of contact with oral tissue or skin, remove immediately with a sponge or cotton soaked in alcohol. Wash the area with water.
2. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water and seek medical attention.
3. Do Not mix powder or liquid with any other glass ionomer components.
